Fifa names 23-man world player nominee list
Fifa has released a list of 23 players nominated for it's World footballer of the year award. The list which includes six players from the Barcelona team that won the Champions league also includes five players from Chelsea. Suprisingly, all the players in the list play professionaly in Europe with no player from the South American leagues. The list includes: Carles Puyol, Lionel Messi, Thiery Henry, Iniesta, Xavi, David Villa, Samuel Etoo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Michael Essien, Michael Ballack, Didier Drogba, Buffon, Casillas, Diego, Frank Ribery, Steve Gerrad, Kaka, Luis Fabiano, C. Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres. This year's award i guess, is most likely to go to Lionel Messi. But my fingers are crossed

Chelsea 4, Bolton 0
Chelsea moved into the next round of the Carling cup with a super 4-0 demolition of Bolton last night. With goals from Kalou, Deco, Malouda and Drogba, we showed a weakling Bolton side what they are to prepare for on saturday. Are you haters out there thinking of switching sides yet, ???

Transfer rumour: Manchester united close to signing Valencia duo
Having off-loaded Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer market, Manchester United are willing to splash 40 million ponds on the Valencia duo of David Villa and David Silva.
Real Madrid Loose massively to Village Side
Spanish giants Real Madrid suffered what would probably be considered their worst defeat of the season so far with a 4-0 loss to Alcocron in the Spanish Kings Cup. Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini was "very embarassed" and pleaded with the fans to forgive the team. Coach Pellegrini is currently under fire as Real Madrid have only won one game in their last five with three defeats despite spending 225million pounds in the summer transfer market. A loss to Getafe in the weekend or a loss in the Champions League against AC Milan could cost Coach Pellegrini his job. Well, i hope that doesn't happen to him, but definitely everybody's hoping the best for the team. At least despite being a stubborn Chelsea fan, i still have a soft spot for Real Madrid

Ferguson pleads guilty
In a simple display of honesty, and probably fear of the powers of the FA, Manchester United manager has accepted guilt in his compliments about ref wiley and has accepted to face any consequences. Good! ! ! After all ain't nobody above the law

Chelsea demolish Blackburn 5-0
In a thrilling encounter with five goals and an impressive performance from the home team, Chelsea scored four goals and had another lucky own goal to beat blackburn 5-0 and move top of the table. A total of 9 goals in the last two home matches, Chelsea is definitely making a statement

Puyol Signs New Deal at Barca
Barcelona's strong man-in-defence, Carles Puyol has just signed a new deal which would see him staying at the club until 2013. This at least quels a lot of speculations and assumption that he is being linked with a move away from the club.
So for all you Barca fans out there, rest your mind, your dada aint going nowhere

Chelsea Trash Atletico Madrid
In one of the most thrilling games on Wednesday's champions league matches, Chelsea saw off the better part of Atletico Madrid with a 4-0 win with 2 astonishing goals from Kalou and a driving volley from Lampard and an unfortunate own goal. Is that our fault......? No. A goal is a goal no matter where it comes from.
So, this is a warning to other Champs league contenders

Premiership Game of the Weekend
In what would probably be the toughest game this weekend, Premier league table leaders Manchester United will be facing a Liverpool side that has failed to find the kind of form it put up last season.
Well as far as i'm concerned, Liverpool is a team full of surprises and Manchester United should not be soooo confident of a win. Well, to both of them, good luck
